Your role involves direct patient interaction, getting their history, physical exam, discuss their chief complain, past medical history, medications, discuss side effects, get familiar with Electronic Medical Records, discuss preventive medicine, review latest's guidelines, common medical conditions such as diabetes, HTN, ASTHMA/COPD, learn about their management and follow up.

Perform physical exams

Performing a thorough physical exam is extremely important, many conditions are found just from examining and listening to your patients and for us that's the key for good medicine.

Chart Review
Learn E.M.R.

During your rotation you will get to review images, significant lab results, write progress notes, review topics on uptodate, and learn to use the electronic medical record system

Discuss goals and follow up

After obtaining a full medical history, physical exam, reviewing patient's medication, significant lab results, you and your attending will come up with a plan, discuss

patient's goals, treatment and follow up.

1. Obtain Medical History

Learning to gather pertinent information during patient's encounter is crucial for a correct diagnoses and treatment


2. Perform full Physical exams

Performing a thorough physical exam will help us discover many things about the patient and will make you an outstanding physician 

3. Discuss Preventive Medicine

In Primary Care we think that preventive medicine is the best medicine

4. Write notes on E.M.R.

Learning to use the Electronic Medical Record system is a big plus for when you start residency

5. Discuss cases with faculty

You will present your patient to your attending, and discuss your critical thinking

6. Plan of Care and Follow up

Coming up with a plan, making sure your patient understands, all questions are answered and follows up,  it's a crucial part of medicine

Frequently asked questions

Is it hands on clinical experience?

Yes, you will a full medical exam and discuss with faculty treatment and plan

How soon can I join?

We will try to accommodate you as soon as next week if it's possible and it's vacant

How many students per rotation?

We have only a few students per month in each clinic, however each one will have their own patients to see and follow up

Why is it so affordable?

We understand the struggle of IMGs and we also want to help our community the brightest students and doctors from all over the world, that's why we came up with this concept for a very affordable price

What's the schedule for the rotations?

It's usually clinic hours (aprox. 8-5 pm) and most of the clinics are also open Saturdays. You should try to come and have exposure to patient care as much as possible, however we will work with the best schedule that suits for you

Do I have to be ECFMG certified to do this rotation? 

No, but you must be a MEDICAL STUDENT or GRADUATE
